Egyptian Refining Company (ERC) Refinery – Mostorod
Surveying and engineering support for the Egyptian Refining Company refinery project in Mostorod, including pipe, tank, and structural surveys and verification of contractors' surveying works.
Total Surveying Office (TSO) served as the surveying team responsible to GS E&C (GS Engineering & Construction), a Korean engineering and construction company, for providing surveying and engineering support to the Egyptian Refining Company (ERC) Refinery Project in Mostorod for more than two and a half years throughout the construction period.
The scope of work included a wide range of surveying activities supporting engineering and construction decision-making, including surveys of pipelines, tanks, structures, and existing facilities and elements. TSO also carried out surveying inspection and verification of works performed by contractors and construction companies, including Orascom, Hassan Allam, and Al Hashemeya, verifying coordinates, elevations, dimensions, and their compliance with approved engineering drawings and project requirements.
Scope of Work
Various surveying works supporting engineering and construction activities, including pipe, tank, structural, and existing-condition surveys, coordinate and elevation verification, dimensional checks, and review and acceptance of contractors' surveying works.
Methodology
Surveying activities were carried out in accordance with the requirements of the engineering and construction teams, using the project's control points and reference data to verify coordinates, elevations, and dimensions. The work included surveying and checking various project elements, reviewing survey results submitted by contractors, and verifying their compliance with engineering drawings and project requirements before acceptance for construction use.
