Phosphoric Acid Plant – Abu Tartour
Execution of surveying works and establishment of control point networks for the Phosphoric Acid Production Project in the Abu Tartour area, including the plant, roads, corridors, and infrastructure.
Total Surveying Office carried out topographic and detailed surveying works and established survey control networks for the Phosphoric Acid Production Project of AT-PHOS in Abu Tartour, New Valley, on behalf of the CSCEC Consortium. The scope of work included the establishment and documentation of control points, topographic surveys covering the plant and road areas with a total survey coverage of approximately 1,750 feddans, connection of the project to the existing control network, and preparation of digital terrain models, elevation maps, and quantity data required for design and construction activities.
Scope of Work
Topographic survey of the plant and roads, control network establishment and connection, road corridor survey, infrastructure detail capture, and preparation of terrain data, surface models, and quantity-related survey information.
Methodology
The project works were tied to the approved site reference control points, and a control point network was established for the plant and roads. Detailed topographic surveying was then carried out using GNSS RTK and total stations, followed by data processing and the preparation of a Digital Terrain Model (DTM), survey maps, and the required survey data to support design and construction activities.
Deliverables
- Plant and road control network
- Control point coordinate and elevation list
- Detailed topographic survey
- Survey drawings and maps
- Digital terrain model (DTM/TIN)
- Road corridor survey data
- Road and infrastructure survey data
